The Tide

The Tide is a music duo based in Portland, Oregon.  Jennifer Holman was born and raised in Portland, Oregon.  Tim Uecker was born and raised in Wenatchee, Washington.  We write a lot of our own music, both on our own and collaboratively.  Our music is eclectic.  We fit it to the genres of folk. singer/songwriter, jazz and light rock.  We have recorded two albums.  The first was a holiday album titled I Wish You Christmas and the second album was titled Shades of Love.  We are back in the recording studio working on our third album of all originals. We perform live around the Pacific NW and love connecting with people through our music.

We met in 2000 when Tim was looking for a vocalist for his band.  We performed together for three years.  Life took us in different directions but in 2019 we reunited to perform some holiday music.  We formed our duo and began performing together and recording.  Having the performance history and friendship from 2000 - 2003 helped us feel more connected when we started again in 2019.  Our blend and harmonies really set us apart from other groups.  Our lyrics are personal....about our own experiences, things happening in our world, things we notice around us.  That helps us connect with people through our music.   We both play guitar and ukulele.  Tim also plays mandolin.  

We are excited about our third album and hope to release it in 2027.
